On the morning of September 9, 52-year-old Ms. Tu from Xianlin Subdistrict, Yuhang District, Hangzhou, went for her usual walk. As she approached an empty lot near her home on Xianlin Middle Road, she accidentally stepped on an aged plastic bottle.
The bottle shattered instantly, spilling its transparent contents all over her feet. This wasn’t ordinary water—it was highly corrosive hydrofluoric acid, commonly known as "bone-dissolving liquid."
Ms. Tu immediately felt unwell and was unable to move. After being rushed to the hospital, both medical facilities initially refused to admit her due to the severity of her injuries.
